Case study PwC – NanoShadows – a new generation of recruitment

Preparation of the concept

In this part, we recommended the client to create a recruitment game with an intriguing storyline built around NanoShadow – a fictional PwC client, which will be used at every stage of the event to build an above-average experience of the candidate.

Promotion of the event

During the promotion phase of the project, the fictional company Nanoshadows was created along with a website, FB profile of its controversial president and a number of activities on portals, on student radio and other media, including short tasks/tests.

Preparation of methodology and assessors

In cooperation with the client’s audit team, we have developed a set of 4 recruitment tasks reflecting the specificity of the auditor’s work, including conversation with customers or analysis of errors in invoices.
In addition, we have developed behavior and evaluation cards of candidates for the existing competency model.
To increase the experience of candidates, we have also prepared a set of smaller story tasks referring to the Nanoshadows puzzle and similar to the challenges found in the escape rooms (escape rooms) popular in recent years.

Game / recruitment event

Over 30 employees of the client were involved in the recruitment event, participants in two rounds – morning and afternoon – had the opportunity to take part in the game – a fictional Nanoshadows audit and solving the mystery of embezzlement in this company.
